Mantra 3

Be less helpful.  Don't give your own opinion.  If a student asks "is that right?", throw the question back at them.  Students should figure stuff out by the conversation they create together, without any sort of pitcher/cup (teacher/student), water/filter (knowledge/teacher) metaphor.

And good metaphors shouldn't have to be explained by the author.  Whoops.
